Nurse Notes

This is our last “Nurse’s Note” for this school year. Wow, how the time has flown! I thoroughly enjoy coming to work every day and having the opportunity to help your child/children when needed.

heart beat between two hands
Due to the large number of students that are changing elementary schools next year due to the re-drawn boundary lines, the other school nurses and I are sending out the necessary paperwork for your child to receive the appropriate medical care while at school for the 2016-2017 school year. Please have the child’s physician sign the required paperwork before school starts and then bring back the completed paperwork a day or two before school starts. Children with chronic serious medical conditions such as diabetes will require a meeting with the principal, teacher, school nurse, etc. before school starts in the fall. Thank you so much for your cooperation, hopefully we can make this transition as smooth as we can. Parents, please be sure to stop by the office to pick up any unused medications that your child still has at school. For safety reasons, it is best for parents to pick up the medication rather than sending it with the students. Please give me a call if we need to make other arrangements. Whatever medications are not picked up will be disposed of. Have a safe and healthy summer vacation!
