Miranda Schuler: Member

Miranda is the newest member of the school board, elected in June 2018.  While newly elected, she is no stranger to public service having served on numerous boards and committees to include Minot City Council, Ward County Planning, Strengthen ND, Independence Inc, and Minot Youth for Christ to name a few.  Miranda is passionate about our community and state, but that passion pales in comparison to her love of her family.  She is married to Aaron, mother to Bridger and Hadyn and billet mom to numerous Minotauro hockey players they have opened their home to over the years.   As an Insurance agent for the past 11 years, Miranda assists families and individuals better protect themselves and mitigate risk.  Today, she owns and operates a Farmers Insurance Agency in Minot.

“I look forward to continuing to serve my community and encourage all citizens to be engaged and reach out with questions and concerns.  The best ideas and solutions are often cultivated by open dialogue.”

Mitch Kraft: Member

Mitch was born in Minot ND and attended Edison Elementary School.  It was the summer after the fourth grade that his family moved to the farm just North of Plaza North Dakota.  He is forever grateful for having that farming experience, it has had a significant impact in the man that he has become today.  After finishing High School Mitch attended and graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.  Mitch is married to Janet. They have two wonderful children Julia and Chloe. They have two active swim club swimmers in the family so it made sense to become a volunteer official, that role turned into Mitch's current position of President of the Minot Swim Club. Children are our future, as a parent it is my responsibility to make sure that not only my children but every child gets the best of our resources.
