The Minot Public School District will receive ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) funds from the federal government. This money can be used until September 2024 and comes with strict guidelines for how it can be used.
ESSER III funding was made available to help safely reopen schools and address the impacts of the pandemic on students' academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs, including interventions to address “learning loss” - delays in students' academic progress related to the pandemic - and support equity with services and supports for student populations that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.
We are thankful to be in a position to have these one-time funds to invest in critical areas to help students safely attend school and to address our schools' and students' needs emerging from the pandemic.
