School Board Information

Minot Air Force Base has five school board members who are appointed to three-year terms.

In this part of our web site, you can view our district budget, look at meeting materials and past meetings, and search for specific board policies.

All meetings are open to the public and are subject to North Dakota law. A majority of the Board (3) constitutes a quorum for the transaction of business. Agendas are available at each meeting for visitors and for the news media.

TSgt Fileccia has served on the Month of the Military Child Working Group for Minot Air ForceBase and coordinated 50+ volunteers for the Month of the Military Child “Clap In” at Dakota Elementary, North Plains Elementary, and Memorial Middle School. In addition, he has demonstrated an ability to lead others and ensure lines of communication are clear.

Vice President: Wesley Offman

Wes has served on the Minot Air Force Base School District Board since 2023, where he has helped shape policies that support academic excellence and student success. Outside of his board responsibilities, he is an active youth soccer and basketball coach, committed to mentoring and inspiring the next generation both on and off the field. Drawing on his security background and leadership experience, Wes plays a key role in guiding the district’s vision and long-term strategic goals.

Applications Open for Minot AFB School Board Members

Three Minot AFB School Board member seats are open. Applications to fill the seats are being accepted until August 31, 2026.

How to Apply

Download the application and submit it by one of the following methods:

Eligibility

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be:

  • An active-duty member of the military installation or the spouse of an active-duty member; or
  • A retired member of the military installation or the spouse of a retired member whose permanent residence is within the state and located no more than 20 miles from the military installation.

Individuals who currently serve on the board of a school district in the district where they reside are not eligible to simultaneously serve on the Minot AFB School Board.

2026-27 MAFB School Board Meetings

All 2026-2027 Regular School Board Meetings of the Minot Air Force Base

School District #160 will be held at 5:00 PM quarterly on the third Tuesday of the month at the Memorial Middle School. The dates of those meetings, with exceptions as noted, are as follows:

October 5, 2026

November – No Meeting

December - No Meeting

January 19, 2027

February – No Meeting

March – No Meeting

April 27, 2027

May - No Meeting

June - No Meeting

July 27, 2027 – Annual Meeting
